This scrunchie made of 100% mulberry silk is hand dyed in a bath of Indigo and Mango leaves. It has been imagined as a beauty product: this luxurious fabric smoothes the hair fiber. A real beauty hack.

Indigofera Tinctoria is used in Ayurveda / Ayurvastra for growing hair and making it stronger

Hand-dyed with Indigofera Tinctoria

Indigoferia tinctoria is cultivated in Bali, the magic of indigo takes place when the fabric is taken out of the tank, it is green and turns blue only when it comes into contact with oxygen. This process is kind for your skin and the planet.

Care instructions

Natural dyeing is a living process — just like plants and our skin, colors may evolve over time. To ensure the longevity of your piece, special care is essential:

  • Use a neutral pH detergent (such as eco breseh detergent soap nut in Bali). Avoid any products with whitening agents, as they can bleach natural dyes.
  • For hand washing, a short soak in soapy water with neutral pH detergent is ideal. Avoid prolonged soaking and, most importantly, do not rub the fabric.
  • Wash your garment separately or with similar colors to prevent it from being affected by synthetic dyes from other clothing.
  • You can also machine wash on a delicate cold cycle (silk/wool setting) using an ecological, neutral pH detergent.
  • It’s best to dry your garment in the shade, but occasional gentle tumble drying for silk is acceptable.
  • In case of grease stains, apply a small amount of talcum powder and leave it on overnight or for a day. Gently remove the powder and repeat if necessary.
  • Natural dyes are sensitive to acidic substances. Avoid contact with lemon, vinegar, alcohol, deodorants, and perfumes. If it’s too harsh for your skin, it will be too harsh for your silk.

Beauty Sleep without Chemicals

No synthetic dyes or harsh treatments. Each piece is tinted using ancestral plant-dye techniques, delivering both unmatched softness, beauty and true natural care.
